Basic Mosaics

No special skill required, but a sense of humour would be a good start. This short, fun course will teach you how to cut, smash and apply tile pieces onto a small object such as a bird bath or plaque for your house number. You will have a completed work of art at the end of this six week course. List of material requirements for course available from the Centre.

The Hexagon Quilt
Date: 9th & 16th Sept (Friday)

Cost: $40.00 (plus $10 to tutor for kit consisting of iron-on wadding and plastic template)
The hexagon quilt is easy and can be made as big or small as you want. No expensive tools needed. It’s stitched and quilted as you go, making it an ideal project to pick up at any time. Ideal for using up all those left over materials from other projects. List of requirements available when booking.

French Polishing (Furniture Restoration)

Cost: $120.00 (Plus $25.00 material cost – paid to tutor 1st Session)
A weekend workshop covering furniture stripping, timber preparation, staining, sealing, colour matching and different finishes etc. All you need to bring is an old piece of furniture to restore back to its former glory. The workshop will give students the skills and confidence to tackle larger jobs. B.Y.O Lunch.
