For participants who have already completed a Hairdressing in the Home or basic cutting course. This advanced class will give you the opportunity to expand on your skills, learn various cutting techniques and skills needed in using a range of tools of the trade.

French Polishing (Furniture Restoration)

Weekend workshop covering furniture stripping, timber preparation, staining, sealing, colour matching and different finishes etc. All you need to bring is an old piece of furniture and restore it back to its former glory. The workshop will give students the skills and confidence to tackle larger jobs.  B.Y.O Lunch.

Feng Shui - An architect's perspective*

Sim Tay gives an architect's insight into how feng shui is incorporated into buildings and homes. It is not about placements of "auspicious" objects rather it is an indepth study and calculation of the unseen energies in the environment and living in harmony with nature.

Power to Parent - The Vital Connection (First in a three part series)*

The aim of these courses are to give parents the confidence to intuitively make the right decisions in helping children reach their full potential, through providing insight and knowledge into natural human development and relationships.

Tuning into Kids*

Tuning into kids is a parenting program that helps children learn to understand and regulate their emotions. It teaches parents: awareness and regulation of their own emotions as well as that of their children, to use children's emotional experiences as an opportunity for closeness and teaching, skills in assisting children to verbally label and manage their emotions, problem solving and to guide their behaviour with appropriate limits. The program is suitable for parents of preschoolers and primary aged children.

Topics include care of the conscious and unconscious patient, resuscitation techniques, management of breathing and cardiac problems, wounds, fractures, head injuries, burns, stings, poisons, hypo & hyperthermia, O.H. & S. legislation relevant to First Aid.  First Aid Manual, resuscitation mask, bandages and notes supplied. On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with  Statement  Of Attainment for Intermediate First Aid, valid for three years from date of issue.

A basic course in the management of life threatening situations. Topics include care of the unconscious victim, breathing, cardiac emergencies and resuscitation. This statement valid for 12 months from date of issue.
