Penguin Club

Penguin Club offers both informal and formal learning opportunities in public speaking and meeting procedures. Volunteering at Greenhills

Do you have a few hours to spare and would like to help your local Neighbourhood House? Are you intending to return to work and need some experience? Why not consider assisting at our Centre. Volunteers are needed to deliver our brochures, assist in our childcare, maintenance and odd jobs, office assistance or becoming a voluntary member of the Committee of Management. Getting to know your iPad/iPhone*

This course will give you the confidence and skills you need to make the most of your device. The course includes practical activities and exercises to help you set up your iPad to suit your needs, getting more from email, internet and much more. At the end of the course you will have some insider tips & tricks to show off to your family and friends.

Creative Time Out
Date:  : 4th May – 22nd June (Monday- miss 8/6)
Time:  1.45p.m – 3.15p.m

This workshop plans to provide a creative escape for the well deserving mothers / carers of children with Autism. It offers 8 x 1.5hr art sessions with limited free childcare provided. We cover simple, practical art techniques associated with art journaling for fun and general wellbeing. All materials are supplied to make a basic art journal which we can fill during our weekly sessions. No experience necessary!

Grandparents as Carers Playgroup
Date:   Fortnightly - commencing Tuesday 10th February

Tuning into Kids
Date: 7th May – 18th June (Thursday)
Time: 7.30p.m – 9.30p.m
Cost : $160.00 single $240.00 couple

Tuning into Kids is a parenting program that helps children learn to understand and regulate their emotions. It teaches parents: awareness and regulation of their own emotions as well as that of their children, to use children’s emotional experiences as an opportunity for closeness and teaching, skills in assisting children to verbally label and manage their emotions, problem solving and to guide their behaviour with appropriate limits. The program is suitable for parents of preschoolers and primary aged children.
