Grandparents as Carers Playgroup

Do you mind your grandchild? Would you like to give them the opportunity to play with other young children while you have a social cuppa? Toys and an outside play area will be available.

Tuning into Kids is a parenting program that helps children learn to understand and regulate their emotions. It teaches parents: awareness and regulation of their own emotions as well as that of their children, to use children’s emotional experiences as an opportunity for closeness and teaching, skills in assisting children to verbally label and manage their emotions, problem solving and to guide their behaviour with appropriate limits. The program is suitable for parents of preschoolers and primary aged children.

T - Talk
Date:   Thursday afternoons
Time:  1.30 p.m.
Cost:    Free, but we may occasionally collect a small donation for our guest speakers group.

Afternoon tea will be organised on a regular basis as an opportunity to meet other members of the community as well as gain valuable information from our guest speakers. Guest speakers will range from: Fire prevention, Parenting, Health topics and general interests. Please check our Facebook page or call the centre for dates and guest speaker information. For catering purposes bookings would be appreciated.

Greenhills Walk & Talk – 2 groups

Cost:    $5.50 per term

Social opportunity to meet new friends and get fit at the same time. Come as often as you like and enjoy the company and exercise. Possibly may operate two groups (fast and slower walkers) depending on the ability of participants.
